Dr. Myria Reese
Dr. Reese is a Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Literature and Language from the University of Texas at Austin.
During her training, Dr. Reese completed an externship in Pediatrics at Hellerstein and Brenner Vision Center in Greenwood Village, Colorado, where she gained extensive experience in children’s vision and binocular vision disorders. She is fluent in Spanish and speaks French at an intermediate level, allowing her to connect with a diverse patient population.
Dr. Reese specializes in Dry Eye Treatment, Scleral Lenses, and Myopia Management, and she takes numerous continuing education hours annually in these areas, staying current with the latest treatments and fitting techniques. She also routinely manages patients with Glaucoma, Conjunctivitis, Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Degeneration, and other ocular diseases, as well as performing foreign body removal and comprehensive eye care for both adults and children.
A native of the Cypress/Houston area, Dr. Reese enjoys learning new languages, exercising, traveling, spending time with family, and sharing her faith with others.
